Obituary

Guestbook and Livestream instructions are below the obituary.

Scott Swan was born on September 7, 1956, and passed away on February 2, 2026. He was a great man—wise, steadfast, and deeply devoted to the people he loved. He was the amazing husband of his beautiful wife, Gloria Swan. Together they shared 36 years of marriage, built on mutual respect, love, and unwavering commitment. They met while serving in the United States Navy, a bond that shaped their lives and values. His service to our country spanned over 20 years, and he carried that same sense of duty and honor into everything he did.

Scott was a proud father to three daughters, Zullyma Duygulu, Alexis Swan and Kaitlen Swan as well as a loving grandfather to two granddaughters, Kaia Duygulu and Zayza Duygulu, who all brought him immeasurable joy. He was also a cherished brother to his three sisters, Peggy Swan, Sue Campos & Dee Swan, with whom he shared many memories with.

Scott was a quiet, stoic, and stubborn man—but behind that calm, silent exterior was a heart that went above and beyond for his family. When emotions ran high and erratic, he was the steady one; the cool head who grounded everyone. He was strict but fair, a trait passed down from his own mother, and one that shaped the lessons he taught so well. Through his actions more than his words, he taught integrity, resilience, patience, and what it means to show up—every single time.

He adored his cars and motorcycles, sometimes more than his kids if they drove him crazy enough. Some of his favorite moments were driving his convertible with the top down and classic rock playing in the background; Pink Floyd was always his go-to. He enjoyed fishing with his daughters and found great joy in cooking, especially when preparing Thanksgiving dinner. He also cherished the time spent with his son-in-law, sharing thoughtful conversations about photography, bread making, and the simple satisfaction of being a father. In quieter moments, Scott could often be found on the back patio reading, watching the birds, or tending to his garden—simple routines that brought him peace and reflection.

Above all else, he was a man who loved his family fiercely and quietly. He didn't need grand gestures—his love was shown in protection, sacrifice, and presence. He was the foundation this family stood on, and life will never feel quite as steady without him.

Scott is survived by his wife, Gloria; his three daughters; his two granddaughters; and his three sisters, all of whom carry his strength, his lessons, and his love forward. He will be missed beyond words and loved beyond measure.
