Shaun Joseph Berry "Jojo," 34, of South Carolina, Michigan, and Florida passed away suddenly on March 21, 2021 – 7 days before his 35 th birthday.
Known by his family as Joe, he was a kind soul who loved to play guitar. Silly by nature, his smile and laughter were contagious. With a passion for music, he never missed a Sepultura concert. He spent his time fixing up his 1962 Chevy Shortbed.
A self-described foodie, his sister would testify that he made the best tzatziki, pork souvlaki, and Greek salad on the planet. His mom remembers sharing recipes with him on his next best dish. He loved to make jokes and often sent his family prank gifts to earn a good laugh including fake mustaches and pinatas full of glitter.
Known by his friends as Shaun, he specialized in AV tech work at live events. He was the master creator of fun things. Some of Ayron's fondest memories of Shaun included him spending hours playing monster trucks with the boys, making ramps out of the couch, and building outdoor movie theaters so they could watch movies in their sleeping bags under the stars. His niece remembers him coming to her room to play the guitar while she did her schoolwork and a sweet kiss on the forehead when he "put the baby to bed."
He studied low voltage electricity and graduated from Manatee High School in 2003.
He was preceded in passing by his father, Gary Berry.
He is survived by the love of his life, Ayron Dubinsky; his stepsons, Talyn and Mika; his mother, Anna Berry; his sister, Charlena Berry, brother Kenneth Berry, and niece Zepplyn Berry.
