Allen Stephen Mallon (Steve) of Margate, Florida passed away October 7th 2024 at the age of 80 after a long illness. He leaves behind his devoted wife of fifty-nine years, Beverly (Baxter) Mallon, Daughter Kelly Mallon (Robert), son Stephen Mallon Sr. (Deanna), grandsons Thomas Pettas Jr., Shane Pettas, Stephen Mallon Jr. and many beloved nieces and nephews. Steve is preceded in death by his parents Richard H. and Jessie Florence Mallon, Brothers Richard (Dick) Mallon, and Ron (Mick) Mallon.

Raised in Norwood, Ohio his life changed considerably when he moved to Springdale, Ohio where he attended Princeton High School and met his future wife Beverly. They were together for over 60 years. Teachers and counselors recognized his intelligence and encouraged him to continue his education after high school. Steve attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio for 2 years while working as a manager at Frisch's Big Boy. He later completed his bachelor's degree at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Fl.

Four years after meeting Bev they were married on May 8th, 1965 at Sharonville Presbyterian Church in Sharonville, Ohio.

Steve soon realized that the restaurant business was not for him and decided to take a civil service exam which he passed with flying colors and became a police officer for the city of Sharonville where he was eventually promoted to Seargeant. He later became the liaison officer for the Princeton school district.

The family decided it was time to move out of the cold weather and in 1980 they moved to Coral Springs, Florida. Steve pursued a career in security by managing two different security companies. Eventually, Steve became a polygraph examiner, private investigator, firearms instructor, and as a firearms expert testified in multiple court hearings. Steve decided it was time to educate others and wrote and taught an associate degree course that was used in colleges in Ft Lauderdale and Boston. Steve wrote 3 books for professional investigators and a novel titled "Path to Glory".

Steve and two of his colleagues opened a school for professional private investigators where he taught until 2022 when he retired. He taught hundreds of students, and many are still friends today.

Steve was always looking for new and interesting topics to learn about and study. Japanese, Spanish, and Aramaic were languages that he studied. Steve was very spiritual and felt that since Jesus spoke mostly Aramaic that he should learn as much as possible about the language.

In Steve's later years most of his thoughts and energy were put towards his wife, children, and grandchildren who brought so much joy to his life.
