Todd Carlton Woodward, age 56, passed away on May 12, 2022. Todd was born in Marion, Ohio to Dian and Joseph Woodward on February 13, 1966.

The family moved to a farm in western Pennsylvania where he played football for Franklin High School.  He spent an adventurous childhood on the farm with his brother, Jeff, and several local boys who became great friends.  Todd loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed riding horses, dirt bikes and snowmobiles with his friends.

He was always interested in flying and eventually found a job in a small hangar to keep the planes clean and maintained.  The owner of the hangar offered him the opportunity to learn to fly by paying him half cash and the other half in flying lessons.  He learned to take off and land with pontoons on water.  He was quite the spectacle at 17 years of age.

Todd tested high in aviation by a Navy recruiter and was sent to Pax River, Maryland to work on P-3's. He served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years and after an Honorable Discharge, began his career with American Airlines.  He made the most of his tenure at American and became Union President of the air mechanics union, TWU Local 591, Miami-Tampa, helping further the cause that he believed in.  We were so proud of him when he received his 30-year commendation from American Airlines on January 21, 2021.

Todd is survived by his fiancee, Andrea Otto; mother, Dian Woodward; father, Joseph Woodward; brother, Jeff Woodward; and step-mother, Becky Woodward.

A Celebration of Todd's life will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Miami International Airport, Concourse J, 4th Floor Auditorium.
