In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Valerie's memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
Valerie Anne Jackson, born on February 25, 1955, passed away peacefully at her home in Jupiter, Florida, on June 29, 2026.
Born on Long Island, New York, Valerie was swept away to Florida by her parents at the age of one, but her heart never left New York City. Later in life, she found her way back to Manhattan, a place she truly loved. The energy, culture, and excitement of New York always remained a part of who she was.
Valerie was a lifelong learner who valued education and excellence. She earned both a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master's degree in Human Resource Management from Nova Southeastern University. Throughout her distinguished career in healthcare, she became a respected and beloved leader, guiding hospitals and mentoring countless members of her staff with intelligence, compassion, and integrity.
She embraced life with enthusiasm and joy. Valerie loved spending time with her friends and family, adored her cats, and was a true foodie who especially enjoyed cooking for others. She loved traveling, shopping, staying fit, and treating herself to a relaxing day at the spa. Of all the roles she cherished, none brought her greater happiness than being an aunt. She was devoted to her nieces and nephews, celebrating their accomplishments, offering encouragement, and creating memories they will treasure forever.
Valerie is survived by her sister, Rita Spero; her nieces, Kimberly, Lisa, and Kelly; and nephews, Christopher, Albert, and Jon.
A memorial service celebrating Valerie's life will be held on August 8, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Monarch Funeral Home in Margate, Florida.
Valerie will be remembered for her strength, generosity, leadership, warmth, quick wit, and the love she gave so freely to those fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched, both personally and professionally, and she will be deeply missed and forever loved.
