Wanda Ann
Tetrault
Nov 24, 1926 — Jul 20, 2024
It is with deep sadness the family of Wanda A. Tetrault (Sienkiewicz) announce the death of their beloved mother and grandmother.
Wanda was born in Philadelphia, PA, on November 24, 1926 and passed peacefully from this earthly life to her heavenly home July 20. 2024 while living in Delray Beach, FL. Wanda was 97. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Jenny; brothers, Walter and Casmir; her husband of 49 years, Eugene N. Tetrault; and their son, John. She is survived by her children, Therese (Michael) Insalaco, Christina Levine, Steven (Wendy) Tetrault, Mary Ann (Brian) McNamara, Michele (Phil) Rossi, Paul (Debbie) Tetrault, and daughter-in-law Kristin; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Wanda and Gene lived and raised their family in Amherst, NY for 35 years where they were active members at St. Leo the Great Parish. Wanda loved to sing and was a member of the church choir. They retired to Margate, FL where Gene passed away in 2002. Wanda continued to serve the community as a volunteer in various ministries, and was a member of St. Vincent Catholic Church in Margate.
Wanda had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to read, was an excellent baker, knitter and seamstress. She made countless cross-stitch pieces for her family and friends. In her 80's she took up painting. In her 90's she knit baby blankets and hundreds of dish-rags. Wanda was blessed with great faith in God, assured of her salvation. She told everyone she was not afraid to die, and looked forward to a reunion with the loved ones who preceded her in death. Wanda was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.
There will be a celebration of her life at 11AM, November 25, 2024, at St. Vincent Catholic Church in Margate, FL. Contact the family for details.
