William B. Mahoney, Jr., 74, of Margate, FL passed away on May 16, 2021. Bill was born in 1946 in New York where he grew up and met the love of his life, Maria Cruz. He joined the Army's Airborne Division in 1964 and served time in Vietnam. After the service, he married Maria then relocated to South Florida to raise four children. He was heavily involved in his church community through teaching bible study classes and mentored young men in the community. In his later years he enjoyed spending time with his family, taking care of his grandchildren after school and completing various woodworking projects. He especially enjoyed his time fishing with his grandson Ryan Schoel.

Bill is survived by his four children Catherine Mahoney, Will Mahoney, Madeline Mahoney and Patricia Mahoney-Eberling and 9 grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Mahoney, and grandson, Ryan Schoel.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 24, 2021 at San Isidro Catholic Church.
